PatriciaOn Edge Owner, instructor and Master Stylist Patricia Pearson took 10 years to develop a unique curriculum that can take a student from knowing nothing about hair to being a confident junior stylist. In 1500 hours of training provided in the program you will learn about the chemistry and structure of the hair, colour, cutting, perms, braids, up dos, hair extensions and chemical hair relaxing.

Master Stylist Patricia is a strong believer that the way to teach hair design and styling is not by just putting in 1500 hours and give you a diploma so that you can start as an apprentice in a salon or to allow you to simply move faster toward taking your test for the hair dressing trade qualification license. Patricia believes the best way is to focus the training specifically on teaching you about hair, hair design and styling techniques. This provides you the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to be able to go directly after graduation, into the professional salon world as a stylist capable of building your clientele fast and the potential to earn an excellent income.

On Edge graduates are in high demand by salon owners, not only in the Sarnia area but they are also recognized as skilled and valued stylists in London and Toronto in high end salons. On Edge is one of the premier hairdressing schools of Ontario. Several of our graduates have gone to work in salons in London, Windsor and Toronto. On Edge is looking to expand our reach into Michigan and especially Port Huron. One of the great advantages of being a hair stylist is your career is very portable and your skill is in demand everywhere.

The secret of the success of this program is mostly the experience of Master Stylist Patricia. The text books can only teach you so much and even if you have the natural talent and flair for beauty, fashion and art you must still learn practical techniques to be a success. It is through combining Patricia's experience and skill with the books that success comes.
